and artist is nil.
All skaters are artists
in the sense that we
use our bodies to
grind, jump and fly. We
at Thrasher know there
is no better way to
showcase the art of
skating than by giving
you a place to throw
down your own inter-
pretations of the world

A SHADOWY FIGURE from
the north of California, Matt
Neely is one of those skaters
who is only seen when a good
pool is in the offing. His love
of round walls has earned him
A monastic, elephant.

pools as Black Bottom,

The Fig, to list just a few.
What then does this
coping connoisseur do in
the off-time, when it's rain-
ing, when it's dark, when
the cops are cracking
down? Ah yes, Matt Neely
dreams of pools, hoping
to gain an insight from a
vision, to see the pools.
