            TRAVIS WILLIS
How long have you skated?
I've been skateboarding for
about eleven or so years, count-
ing bombing the S-Hill when I
could just stand up and turn.
What do you say when you're
trying to meet a female?
I usually start out by asking,
"What's up? And follow through
with like, "Yeah, so what's your
name?" Nothin' too extreme
unless I'm under the influence of
peer pressure. Nah, but I just
really don't like to mack much
Do you have any creative hob-
bies besides skating?
I like to draw and see what I
can create through just freestyle
aketches. I like to see if I can
draw pictures exactly how I think
of them in my mind. I also read
books like Jitterbug Perfume,
Geek Love and Wisdom Keepers.
What do you like to roll on?
I love cement that's smooth
and I like to ride new things
obstacles with bumps and cracks
that seem impossible to ride.

What kind of personalities are
you inspired by?
Positive people that aren't
afraid to do things different,
people that like to hang-out and
not have to be cool all the time.
like seriously crazy people that
say the most off-the-wall shit.
What music do you listen to?
Mostly good jazz with lots of
horns and harmonicas and flutes,
some Jethro Tull, some rap and
hip hop, oldies are always fun to
sing, and American Indian songs.
What does skating do for you?
Skateboarding pisses me off
because it's so hard, but it's so
fun to make up stuff and get the
best adrenaline high that nothing
else I've ever done has given me.
Anyone you want to thank?
Elliot, Mike, Red, Tom Peha,
my mom, Dee Dee and Osage.
