Just a couple of hours ago, I was
going pretty fast down the sidewalk
and I did a frontside 180" and ate
shit when I was riding backwards,
causing my board to roll into the
street. My board was only a couple
of feet into the street, turned on its
back, when this redneck guy and
his big Ford truck came rolling by.
I swear, he went out of his way just
to run over my skateboard. After
he murdered my four-week
old deck, he kept right on
driving. What can I do?

I'm from Indiana and I
have partied with a
few of the guys that
you featured. I'm so
stoked to see some
fine Indiana skaters
getting recognition.
Skateboarding and
skaters are pretty few
and far between in the
Midwest. Not very many
people are able to get out
of this fucked-up cesspool. I
think it's great to see you guys
come in and write about some
small-town skaters.

tion here that doesn't
happen very often in my
home state of Florida: All
the skaters around here look
at Marines as total jerks no mat-
ter what their interests, hobbies,
or personalities. I've tried making
casual conversations with some of
the locals, but time and time again,
I get the same old blow routine.

Who cares who shaved their heads

clothes? That's not the point. We've
each got our own thing going, but
it's really out of place for either of
you to cap on the other. No one.
can say that raving or skating is bet-
ter. It's your own thing. I have a lot
of friends who are skaters, my own
brother, in fact, but I'm a raver. I
