Cambridge
Across the Charles River from Boston, Cam-
bridge, Massachusetts, is a city that reeks of his-
tory. A college town that includes Harvard and
MIT, this is one urban melting pot that has it all.
Far from the hype of California, Cambridge has
many places to skate and heaps of friendly
skaters. For the weary skate nomad, no trip
to New England is complete without al
brief stopover in Cambridge.
The C-Bowl is skateable in the spring
and fall, and Maximus Skatepark is right
across the street. Maximus has a variety
of hips, trannies and vert. The locals are
very hospitable and they always make
sure to put fun before finance. But just
be forewarned they have a big old rot-
tweiler named Ranxerox that will lick you
to death if you are not careful.
Even the most finicky of skateboarders
will find something to wet their palate
while visiting Cambridge and the surrounding
area. But always remember, it's blistering there
in the summer and it's as cold as a witch's heart
there in the winter. Go East and feast.

1) The indoor facility at Maximus is a haven in the
winter and the locals have it wired. Jessica pops over
the hip of the street course out of the summer sun.
2) Doug is part-owner and he ripsit.
3) Pierced noser Pete blasts over a sudden wall with his
name on it.
4) Yankee skaters Barry and Martin prepare for impact.
5) Talking shop at Maximus.
6) The western well of the
C-Bowl is waiting to humble
all who think they rip.
7) Harvard Square locals at
their spot.
8) A pool session is available if
you want to work for it.
91 The pool is so big that some-
one once drove a cor into it
and disappeared.
