How long would you say that
you've been skating?
Pretty dose to a decade.
What was your first board?
It was a High Energy with
same guy cutting his head off
hanging on a tree. I think it
was a Kryptonics.
What do you like to skate?
All kinds of big curbs, flatground
stuff, and I've been getting into a lot of
transitional stuff since moved to Santa
Cruz, I've been pretty stoked on Derby
Who do you ride with in Santa Cruz?
Ron, Israel, Justin, Gaylen and Skye.
What do you think you'd like to do
with skateboarding?

It would be great to be able to do
something I like and support my kid.
How is it being a father?
Probably the best thing that ever
happened to me.
And what's your child's name?
Dekoa.
What are some of the tricks that
you're working on right now?
Pass. Top secret
Have you ever had any serious in-
juries from skateboarding?
No. I don't want to talk about it.
What do you like to do when you're
not skating?
Eke to see a lot of musical groups
such as The Dead, I'm really into Neil
Young, and I've been getting into a lot
of mpke Tribe and shit

When did you start skateboarding?
The summer before eighth grade
can remember. It was a while ago

Some old Powell board.
Who do you think is rad right now?
Karma is rad. Brian Chung, my friend,
John, there's just too many to le
What do you like to skate?
Pretty much anything, like blocks and
bumps and stuff, just whatever
Do you think there's anything wrong
with skateboarding right now?
I guess there are lots of things wrong
with it, but there are good things too,
t's just like how people perceive things
skind of messed up
Have you ever gotten really hurt?
Natpally. I sprained my ankle a cou
ple times, broke my wrist once, it was
just a chip, but I never got it fixed.
Who do you usually skate with?
My friend John, Pete, Karma, Keith,
and just whoever's around.
What do you like besides skating?
Just being with my friends and having
a good time.
What kind of music do you listen to?
1e old rock of the late sixties to the
mid-seventies, stuff like The Who. I like
going to record stores, trying to find
records. That's pretty much al do.
