Metal. The cold hard steel in
handrailings, ramps and ledges is
the fastest way to go. It is bend
able and sturdy, but remember
that is also hurts like hell when it
comes in contact with your body
parts-no splinters, just watch the
burn. Sam Devlin (left) slices
through an angled piece of green
railing in the comfort of his home
turf of Vancouver, British Columbia.
Grinding metal feels different but
smooth. Julien Stranger (below)
nosegrinds to fakie in the flatlands:
of Oakland. The metal ramps of
Houston have taken out many
hearty souls, but this nollie by Mike
Crum (right) proves that he is far
from intimidated. When you think
about railings, Pat Duffy's name
may pop into your mind, but this
inset (opposite) is Jason Maxwell.
