How old are you and where do you skate? I'm seventeen, and I skate the
curbs, banks, stairs, patches and mini-ramps around Swarthmore, Penn-
sylvania. Who do you ride with? John Freeborn and Jeremy Beudry, but
nowadays I skate alone a lot. How long have you been skating? Since I was
nine. What do you think of being sponsored? I used to be sponsored, but
it was too much trouble. Now I just buy boards with a discount that I get
from Fairman's Skateshop in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Are you down
with all the Philly guys? I haven't been to Love Park in a while. I like skating
at Penn though with Jim Houser, Andrew Wright and Beth. Who are your
influences? Council of Fire, Jason Lee, Pickleboy, Eggman. Basically anyone
better than me. Do you have any regrets? I wish
that I would have dropped out of school when
I was sixteen to smoke pot all day like all the
cool skaters. What are your plans when
you are done with school? I'm proba
bly going to go to The Academy of
Fine Arts in Philadelphia. Do you
have any closing statements? Live
fast, die young. Let God sort 'em
out. Knock it off, I'm a french fry. Try
burnin' this one. Eat my shorts. My
other car is a Rolls. One day at a time.

Tell me your age and where you live. I'm twenty and I live in SF and
Santa Barbara. When did you start skating? 1988. Who did you look
up to when you first started? I skated with Joe Chen, Jovontae, Jason
Phillips and Rick Ibaseta. Who do you look up to now? Mike Carroll,
Rick Howard and Mike Santarossa. What kind of obstacles do you like
to skate on a daily basis? On a perfect day, I like to skate blocks and
then maybe skate some trannies. How does Santa Barbara compare to
SF in skating? Downtown is just about the same but since there's
Powell, it's totally different. If you skate Powell, it's all ramps, and then
in SF, there's no ramps. Do you have any sponsors? Right now I skate
for Vision Shoes and Santa Cruz. Who are some of the guys that you
skate with down in Santa Barbara? I skate with George Nagai, Jeff
Taylor, Jeff Chamley, Tai Evans, once in a while Ricky Higgins, Dillon
Gardner, and I guess that's about it. What does skateboarding mean to
you? It's a total way of life. It calms you down, it takes the aggression
out of you. What kind of tricks are you doing now? I like to do flip
tricks, but do them big and catch them, or try to catch them. Any last
words? Hi to Alex and George Terekov, Dave, Al, Carl, Mike York, Feltar,
Johnny from the Zone and all my friends.
Where are you from? I'm from Long Island and I live in Huntington
Beach now. It's pretty good, better weather. Really the only bad thing is
having to drive all over the place. It's good being able to skate everyday.
Who do you skate with? Usually Gino lanucci, Keenan Milton, Justin,
Jeremy and Jonas Wray. What do you like to skate? A mixture of every-
thing, stairs, ledges, handrails and curbs. Who are your sponsors? Fun,
Thunder, and I got shoes from Vans, I don't know if I'm on or not. Who
did you first look up to? I first started skating like seven years ago and
I fully looked up to Jeff Pang and the New York City guys, and this guy
Richie who used to be on Alva. Who is ripping now? Huf, Keefe, Gino,
Peter and Keenan. I like skating with my brother Dan back home. Do
you have any goals in skateboarding? Just having fun and skating new
places. What kind of music are you into? All kinds, I like hip hop and
some Sabbath. Any last words? Thanks to my mom and dad, and what's
up to my brother, Peter Bici, Mike Hernandez, and all my friends in NY.

Born and raised in San Jose, eighteen
year old Matt Eversol is a neat freak
who refuses to get dirty and has many
talents. Skateboarding is one of them.
His outlook on skating is if a trick is
making you sweat then you shouldn't
be doing it because the trick is too
hard for you. Matt is an all-around skater who wants to give props to his
buddies Jesse Stein, Matt Hathaway, Eric Olsen and Neil Mason. The skat-
ing of Ed Devera, Salman Agah and the old Bones Brigade add much to his
respect. Besides chillin' on Crockett Ave, Matt likes to get blasted, meet
new people (especially girls), make sex, and mess around with computer ani-
mation on Nintendo. Matt gets by with a bag of sunflower seeds and a rasp
berry Snapple daily. The sounds that pump his brain consist of Madonna,
Janet Jackson, Raised By Seuss, and most of the Hieroglyphics. Matt's future
agenda is to go to college, get lots of education and skate more vert. -Cab
