TB: No.
JA: Come on Tim, you can
say anything, I don't care.
TB: Maybe your dirty dishes.
JA: That's okay, you snore.
Alan: One time we were eat-
ing pizza and I saw Jason
drool over Kris Markovich.
JA: That's because Kris is a
dream boat.
JA: Don't even bring it up!
JA: One time Alan and I
got drunk and Alan threw
bottles at my head. First he
threw beans, then bottles.
Alan: Look, you can see the
beans stuck to the wall,
JA: First beans, then bottles
TB: I like Nick Cage and I
also like Thelma and Louise
TB: No.
Wutbome
TB: The Muffs, Fluf, Super-
suckers, Rocket From The
Crypt, and this punk band,
The Queers, that I like a lot.
TB: I'm not really into it
that much. The whole scene.
is just not me, what they
say and what they portray
in their songs, their cord-
less phones and all that.
There's still a lot of bands I
like, like Public Enemy, but
I'm just not into the mod-
ern day hip-hop, I guess.
JA: Punk, rock, dude.
TB: I'm not afraid of a blunt.
(Jason Adams has now fin-
ished a 40 of Mickies and
loosens up a bit.)
JA: I hate it when World In-
dustries guys talk shit about
Omar Hassan, Omar's rad.
The Donner contest was so
fun because the World
guys weren't there and
there were no Plan B guys
there. Those guys just talk
shit because they are total-
ly insecure, they aren't
cool, they're just fucked.
TB: I don't like what they
portray. Skateboarding now
is all this shit talking and
stuff. It's just not what I'm
into, but it's their trip and
they seem to be doing well
so I guess I'm happy for
them for that, but I could
never ride for a company
like that. I just don't really
understand what they think
skateboarding is about.
TB: I just got back from San
Diego, I was staying down
there for a while, skating a
bunch of local spots down
there. We skated Encinitas
skatepark, it was a lot of fun.
Me and Jason went down,
we stayed with Rob Dyrdek
and John Drake and Bill
Wiess. They're fun to hang
out with. They took us to a
local bank that a lot of kids
skate. We skated all over
and ended up going to a
bunch of weird ditches, just
not the everyday things,
that were a lot of fun.
TB: Rob Dyrdek is a rad
skateboarder. He's really
technical and he skates
fast. I like anyone who
skates fast and consistent.
Like Wade Speyer and Alan
Petersen are rad skate-
boarders, they can skate
anything, anytime. That's
what I like to see, not some-
one going all slow and
stuff, that's lame.
beyleixo cantants
TB: I like going to them
because you get to see all
your friends, that's probably
the best part, that and
skating during the practice
time, it just seems like:
there's such good skating
going on. But overall, con-
tests may show consisten
cy, but they don't really
show who the best skate-
boarders are. I think con-
tests should be more like a
big jam: everybody goes
and skates and has fun and
somebody picks a winner by
who's skating the best. Con-
tests now seem too com
petitive, and people just get
mad out there, they throw
their boards and it doesn't
look like they have that
much fun.
How Ho
TB: Bacon, pigs, I have a lot
of names for them. Most of
them are complete jerks, I
don't even think they should
exist. You're just driving
down the road and you have
to be afraid of going ten
miles over the speed limit
because you might get a
ticket and who knows what
else. I dislike cops to the
fullest. I'm sure that there's
some exceptions, but what I
run into is pretty much
cops that are against hav
ing fun. It seems like they
all had a bad childhood or
something
JA: Because I'm bored. I just
got sick of my hair color
and I always wanted to do
it but my mom would never
let me so I'm just making
up for all the years that!
could never do it.
WEXPO
JA: I just want to get every
thing wired so I can go
really fast all the time. I
haven't really been trying
new stuff but we've been
trying to skate everything,
go to the skatepark, go
skate a mini-ramp, go skate
a curb, and then go skate
some banks
JA: Yeah, totally. Before I
skate, when I wake-up. At
first it was something just
to get me going, but now I
totally like the taste. Me and
Tim just enjoy drinking cof
fee together
JA: It doesn't even matter. I
like white trash stuff:
Folgers, whatever.
TB: I'd like to see peo-
ple starting to realize
that everything is fun
to skate. People say
that vert's out and all
that stuff. There's so
many things to ac-
complish in skate-
boarding besides just
flip tricks on street.
They're fun and stuff,
but instead of worry-
ing about all the crap
in skateboarding and
the business side and
the politics. But it seems like
it's mostly the older people
fighting. I think everybody
should just go and skate and
not worry about what com
pany they skate for, what's
cool and what's not cool.
They should just go out
and have a good time,
because that's what skate-
boarding is all about in the
long run.
JA: Everyone skating every-
thing, nothing being cool
or not cool, just people skat-
ing vert, mini-ramps, what-
ever they want, not worry
about their pants or how
white their t-shirt is or how
their shoes are looking, peo-
ple should just skate and not
worry about anything else.
