CHOSEN FEW by Mark Teramae
One summer morning, as the sun was coming up over the
hills, a skating posse appeared on the horizon. With the sun at
their backs, the posse threw in a few heelflips and kickflips.
The six members, Phreak the leader, Mark, Justin, Val, Jimmy
and Logan, were called WTE (We Thrash Everything). They were
on their way to the biggest drainage ditch around, "The Pitt."
Phreak supplied the rest with fresh cans of spray paint. When
they arrived, they saw some stupid poser wannabe named Josh
who they recognized from their
school. They asked him why he
was there and he said that
he wanted to join WTE
They laughed, kicked
Josh's ass and threw
pennies at him as he
went home crying.
The first person up
was Phreak. He start-

and pulled an awesome 180"
heelflip. Then he did a few hand-
plants and mixed in some slides
and grinds. Next, Mark thrashed
The Pitt by doing his favorite
move, the 540 kickflip. The only
one who screwed up was Logan.
He was grinding and he hit a
rock and flew to the bottom.
He was fine.
Later, they went to their local
skate shop "Skaters 'R' Us," and
Phreak treated them all to fresh
new hats and shirts. The only
bad thing that happened that
day was Josh's mom called the
cops on them. They were thrash-
ing on Val's new ramp when
sirens sounded and lights
flashed from down the street.
Since Val lived on a cul de sac,
there was only one way out.
Phreak sped right towards the
cop car and at the last second
snapped an ollie. He landed on
the hood of the car and then
tripped and fell to the ground.
The cops pulled him up and into
the car. The others had gotten.
away safely but Phreak was
caught. After five minutes in
the car, Phreak busted open
the door and fled towards his
buds. Another cop car had been
called and was coming from
the other direction, WTE was
trapped, but then... "We dance
