What's your background like?
I was born and raised in the San
Francisco Mission District. Seven-
teen is my age
Who do you hang out with?
I like to hang out with Guy, Rudy.
Jeron and Mike. When I go up to
Vegas, I hang out with Cody and
Ricky. Friends are a good inspiration
and I really look up to Brian Lotti as
a person.
Who are your favorite skaters?
Guy Mariano, Rudy Johnson, Rick
Howard and Mike Carroll. Salman's
an eye-opener. Jeron is rad too, the
little shit.
What's it feel like filming?
Well, the outcome is cool, and if
you're having a good day, you have
footage to show for it. I honestly
am not too thrilled about filming
though. It's too much of a spotlight,
sort of like this interview.
Name a few of your favorite things.
I like the movie Cowboy Junkie
and Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct. I

also like Led Zeppelin, The Beatles
and Black Sabbath. Call me hesher,
I could care less. As for food, I like
Lotti sandwiches, but it's a top secret
recipe. Shhhh
Do you like sports?
Yeah, I do actually. I remember in
the fifth grade I used to play flag
football and in the sixth grade:
played tackle football. In the seventh
grade, my teammates had already
outgrown me and that's when I
called it quits. I remember the first
time I went snowboarding. I could
barely keep up with the pack and
Rudy pushed me into jumping a gap.
First he did it switchstance to as-
sure me it was easy, Then I tried it
and knocked the wind out of myself.
All I heard was Rudy's high-pitched
laugh, and for a second I thought of
giving up on that. I just stuck to it
though and now I can finally say
snowboarding is
is fun.
What do you like about contests, if
anything?
I'm not a competitive skater so the
Sprood: Henry is
more than willing to try
anything backwards and
usually makes it in no time.
