Recently Josh Swindell took a trip to Mexico along with some friends, including Danny Way. While driving home,
Josh got a flat in the company van he was driving. When repairing the flat, Mexican authorities hassled and
ultimately arrested Josh because a gun was found in the van. As usual, the corrupt Mexican police immediatly tried
to negotiate a cash settlement (illegal) to remedy the situation. Josh was broke (like a typical pro-skateboarder) so
they placed him in prison and demanded $5,000 bail from his parents. When legitimate authorities were contacted,
the Mexican authorities responded by raising the bail to $10,000. CBS news in LA also traveled into Mexico to
interview Josh and try to obtain his release, but this only upset the Mexican authorities. They have since postponed
the trial indefinitely. Josh is a professional skateboarder, not a criminal; he was driving somebody elses car, and had
no idea about the gun or the Mexican laws. The bottom line is, he is innocent.
Mexico spends millions of dollars in advertising each year in order to get young Americans like Josh to drive across
the border and spend their American dollars in Mexico night clubs. Everybody knows the Mexican Police pull over
Americans for no reason on a regular basis and demand cash payments as an alternative to jail. Josh is not the first
victim of the corrupt Mexican Police and Judicial System. There are many documented cases of innocent Americans
spending years in filthy Mexican prisons with inadequate living conditions, as somebody's butt buddy or even worse-
dying from sickness, suicide, or stabbing. While Josh doesn't ride or work for Plan B, he's our friend and he's in
trouble, which is why we have purchased this full page advertisement to ask for your help. At present Josh is being
held in prison outside Tijuana, Mexico. We are offering $1000 reward to anyone who can help obtain Josh's release.
We don't care how you do it (maybe your rich uncle has some connections, or your brother-in-law works for Soldier of
Fortune Magazine, or better yet, your dad's the Ambassador to Mexico, whatever). If you help free Josh, you win the
cash.
In order to enter the free Josh Swindell contest you must write clearly your name and address on a piece of paper
along with how you plan to free Josh, then mail the letter to Free Josh Swindell, 12322 Poway Rd. # 142, Poway, CA
92064. If your plan works we'll send you the cash. Plan B will also be offering a limited addition "Free Swindell" T-
shirt in conjunction with Droors Clothing (the van owner.) All proceeds from the "Free Swindell" T-shirt will be
smuggled directly to Josh in prison in order to help him survive. If you wish to donate directly to Josh, please send
cash, check or money order payable to Free Swindell Fund to the address listed above. Josh thanks you in advance.
