their debut Guerrillas in the Mist

Since you're from South

rap is gangster style, when in
fact it's nothing like that.
We're environmental terrorists, tryin

people know what time it is on what's

Tencer

Mist" is like our in
LA, when the whole Rodney King trial
was going on there, they were showing
it everyday on television. One of the
officers made a statement that he had a
call prior to the Rodney King call and
the Rodney King call was better than
the one he just had. He said it was

So, we took that and worked with that
just to let our people know this is how
they think of us. And plus, they label
every ghetto a jungle, and beothers and
sisters as animals. There's one part of
LA they do call the jungle, police treat
everybody the same there. So we
puttin' it out there in from of they face

Why was "Pin the Tail on the

Juse listen to the title alone. I think
the real reason was we had a lot of shit
in it. I'm not gonna quore any lyrics on
it. We had some shit on that, was really
serious, spoke on the govemment. I
figured, since it's our first album we
didn't want the boat to sink before it
started sailing. So we snatched that aff
because it's gonna do what it's gonna
do, regardless. We gonna try to get
that song out there as a single ur an Ep.
O ANINAL SOUNDS

Being on tour with the Beastle
Boys and Henry Rollins gives
you exposure to hardcore
music. Will you ever work with
a live band rather than a DJ?
Nope, not on stage. We got some
brochers called the Torture Chamber
that play shit live so we won't have to
sample. But on the road, ne. You lose a
lot of the hip-hop in the purity in the
music. In hip-hop you need that dirty
sound. I like sampling records some-
times, that nickle and dirt. You need
that dirty sound. I dont want no
muthafuckin' band. If Public Enemy
wants to use a band, I can't knock
them brochers, they expressing what
they want to do, and I support them
with whatever they do. When it comes
down to us, we ain't going like that.
Any last comments?
For the readers out there, seek
knowledge of self, find out who you
really are. That way you'll have a better
understanding about yourself and the
system. And go buy the albam.
