Skateboarding hasn't
changed a bit since 1981
Skaters still hang out in
greasy parking lots,
empty schoolyards,
obandoned gas stations.
bock alleys and 7-11,
just like always. T-shirts.
ballkaps, baggies, levi's
and lowtops are down
and usually dirty. The
music is loud and it goes
with you everywhere.
Curbs, pools, downhill
runs, banks and drive-
ways are skateable until
you get bored and move
on. Friends are for life
and you generally avoid
people who don't know.
With skateboarding, you
know what you're get
fing. You're going to
scare the shit out of
yourself and love every
minute of it. This is our
143rd issue of Thrasher.
It doesn't deny the past
and it doesn't dwell on
it either, Kevin Thatcher
