STERS
From Columbus, Ohio, the breadbasket
of America, Rob Dyrdek has always felt
like an outsider looking In. Being from
the heartland makes coverage hard to
come by and traveling an eternity, but be
warned this little guy throws down hard
and takes the spills to prove it.
When did you get your start?
In October of 1986, my mom bought me a
skateboard as an early Christmas present
What did you do before skating?
I played soccer every day and tried to pick-up
snitch.
Why is vert out?
Because if you're sitting around and you think of
a clean trick, you can't just go outside and try it,
you've got to find a vert ramp first. If you think of a
street trick, you go outside and do it. Vert's fresh,
but it's a hassle for most.

What do you think of industrial shit?
It's fresh because there's always new stuff com-
ing, but it's gay because everyone tries to be
World Industries.
