because they're
PENNSYLVANIA
out there
trying to
arrest real
criminals

Philadelphia skate
boarders are an in-
dependent sub-culture
bent on progression.
The City of Brotherly
Love has a healthy
contingent of older
skaters who have ridden
everything from major
contests to remote
pools, and a crop of
younger skaters who are
more than willing to
leave behind the daily
grind of Love Park and
experience the fun of
traveling. A fusion of
younger skaters respect
for the past and older
skaters' hope for the
future will keep skate-
boarding in Philly ener-
gized for years.
