PRODUCT PATROL
It's time to change the way we look at things.
Decks are the focus of this month's column,
but in the future, wheels, trucks, hardware
and trinkets will be pounced on and road-
tested immediately after the UPS truck
leaves the parking lot. Next month, a look
at some of the new wheels that are
taking the world by storm. Does
everything look the same to you?
New format-what do you think?

"LOUIS D. ARMSTRONG"
Molos, PO Box 50001, Mols, MN 55405
Original graphic from one of my favorite companies. No
pros. just some Midwestern maniacs making basic, ride-
able planks Good cave, not much, but enough, no
funky bends. A rigid/-ply that's well worth the
price. This is one cool trumpet. Ask your local shop,
maybe they can get you one of these rounded-tail
bombers. Impact is imminent.

SANTA CRO
"HANDGUN"
Crime, 20071 Cove Cicle Handingon Beach, CA 92646
Crime is a new company on the block with wood very
similar to the New Deal. No cros no hype, just light,
semi-egg shapes. Their two gun models are very similar

These decks follow the current market trend of minimal
concave Crime's 9-ply lamination is at the forefront of
modern development. Two quick turners that are cheaper

DENNIS FINGER
Poorhouse, 1045 S Pacific Coast Highway
Laguna Beach, CA 92651
Who is he? I've never heard of him, but
FINGERS he has a good cue with a functional shape
a semi rip-off graphic (roller Betty/diner).
7-ply, flat nose and tail A good-looking slab
with all the trimmings.

ALAN PETERSEN "OTTER"
Santa Monica Airlines, 4401 Seguel Dr, Soquel, CA 95073
Long and wide with an 8-hole front mounting patern
and Everslick coating The semi-square nose makes this
wide whopper a greal street lop. A sad on the heavy side.
SPECS: 32:59 756-6.5 6.5 13.75' 7-ply plus the Slick. Other Pop rip-off graphic on top.
ERIC NASH "SKELETON"
Siros Skateboards, 4401 Sogad Dr, Soquel CA 95073
Sims, one of the oldest names in skateboarding, is back
with Everslick bottoms and dual-hocked nose and tails. I
found it a litle on the small side but it has a tight wheel-
base, semi-rocker and slightly pointed nose. A basic
shape that is heavier than most current decks.

ED TEMPLETON "INSECURITY"
New Deal, PO Box 3757, Costa Mesa, CA 9262
This fat nose, semi-pointed 9-ply is light and quite flexible. A rounded jail with killer laminates make this one deck that can take a
licking and keep ticking Flat nose and tail, but it has the best nose at press time. Insecurity. I highly recommend it
