Tim Kelley's best friend had been trying to hook up with Gina for awhile.
but Gina wouldn't go out without her sister. A double date was only natu-
ral, with Tim as the fourth wheel. When the threesome picked him up at
his house, the car was dark. He climbed in back and took his obligatory
place. Tim's hands held his board tight as he looked into the darkness.
After awhile, he got a good look at Gina's sister. He knew right then there
was no room for him in the car that night. At a stoplight on El Camino
Real, he balled and started pushing down the road. He had other plans.
