CRIME OF MONTH
Groholski, Demain, Omar, Lenhart
and Ridge's hotel room was robbed of
all cameras, sound F/X gear, vids, et al
twice in a two-hour period. Congrat-
ulations to the security staff of an
unnamed downtown Norfolk, VA, hotel.
QUESTION OF MONTH
Following a recent L.A. Times expose
on certain time-honored Malibu moun-
tain skate exploits, are certain CHP offi-
cials now on a vendetta against promi-
nent downhill rollers? Max Racing
members have allegedly been clocked
at 86 m.p.h. How are the cops going to
handle this? Ditto for Glendora Mount-
ain, where similar harassment has been
spoken of
IN MEMORIAL
Downhill ace and former world speed
record ski racer Steve McKinney died
in a freak car accident on Interstate 5.
Steve, who helped integrate skate/ski
tactics and whose style was certainly a
precursor to modern snowboarding, will
be missed by all who knew him.
FUTURE SHOCK
By the time you read this it will be offi-
cial-the 10th Anniversary/Reader
Poll/End of Universe Party will be held
in an ultra-posh S.F. site and no weak
moves will be tolerated. In a training
mission, Big Daddy Ed took the staff to
the deepest local watering hole on the
arrival of the first copy of the 10th Anni-
versary issue. Has Don V. been wan-
dering around with a coconut clay-
wheeled Hobie multi-lam muttering
about trophies?
POLITICAL STRIFE
Peggy "I'm a Mother" Cozens was
last observed aboard the Russian
destroyer Admiral Vinograd. Apparently.
she was delivering the latest in ad-
vanced American weaponry, a new
Lester Kasai cue?

skating was on the offensive, and no walls
were secure ... The Z-Boys were ripping.
Mike and Kenny Stelmasky, along with
Dennis (Polar Bear) Agnew, took radness
one step beyond... Some people discov-

John Gibson took the am event with

Seen above are the last ever photos of H-Street upstart, Fred Olande. Fred
was performing a daring One-Footed-Nollie-Tail grab, when he was snatched
up by a "beam of light." Cameraman, Dan Sturt, had these comments, "I was
shooting, blinked, and he was gone! Sure will miss the litte #a!! H-Team
manager/ mentor Mike Ternasky was so overwhelmed by this event, he had
to cancel his manicure/ pedicure apointments for the next millenium.

Mike Carrol, fatare skate-
star, has been invited by
the agents of teeny bopper
big boys, NEW KIDS ON
THE BLOCK, to join the
band as their "new kid."
Mike (right), captured here
by skate photog, Tobin
Yelland, has aparrently
been so torn by his love
for skateboarding and
passion to be a teen idol/
love god, he has locked
himself in his bedroom and
refuses to talk to NEW
KID's agents or the H-
STREET corporation.
The body of Alphonzo
Rawls, seen here midway

WITHOUT HIS HEAD!
Friends and family say
that things are not quite
the same now that
Alphonzo's head is gone.
"I thought he was being
rather quiet." explains his
mother.
Tony

stratto leaper added, "To
tell you the truth, I didn't
notice anything until I
asked Alf to explain one

thing, dropped in, and
that was when I noticed
