NYSTERY
CLUES FOR
THE CLUELESS...
New news has just arrived via carrier
pigeon from the Missing Skater's Bureau regarding the
alleged disappearance of a board rider at the San
Francisco Street Contest. In addition to the details
released last time, some potentially enlightening clues
have recently been unearthed, and even more are
expected to surface in the upcoming February issue. Our
sources in the Pentagon insist on remaining stealth-
lipped on the subject, and the C.I.A. refuses to confirm
or deny any covert, overt or invert operations.
This latest evidence was found in the trunk of an
abandoned brown Datsun B-210 with Connecticut
plates off of Interstate 10, near the west Texas town of El
Paso. The car was stopped at a traffic light with the
engine running and the left turn signal blinking.
Discovered
in the vehicle was
this small but significant group of items: An
article from Rolling Stone on the latest installments in
Hunter S. Thompson's legal battles, a half-emptied quart
of artesian spring water, seventeen rusted precision bear-
ings, and this strange, torrid scrawl: "My dear darling
Dorothy, let's run away to the emerald city, and seek the
secret of the two ball multi-ball ball."
Nobody is yet sure what all this means, but Midway
Manufacturing Company, in a blueprint of generoristy,
has graciously donated "Radical," the new Bally pinball
game, as a special prize for the person who brings all the
answers on home.
