READERS POLL
We would like to thank all of you who
participated in our 1990 Readers Poll. Due
Little Chris Branaugh to the overwhelming response and the late
cut-off date of Sept. 4, it has taken us
beyond this issue's deadline to enter
thousands of ballots into Betty X, the
Thrasher computer. The official announce-
ment of the First Annual Thrasher Readers
Poll winners and runners-up will be in next
month's issue (Jan. 91) right here in On
Board. Stay tuned for the party!

SKATEPARKS
(See page 42 for contest-up
Here are a few updates to the ever-
growing park list:
The Dallas bowl and vert ramp have
been re-sheeted, and they boast a new
spine ramp with pump bump.
The Hurricane ramp at Skatepark of
Houston has been re-steeled.
TOURS & TRIBULATIONS
When we last left the saga of the great
World Skate Tour Ripoff of 1990, it was
concluded that once again, the skaters got
burned. Well, nothing much has changed
in that regard as we go to press two
months later with the skaters having yet to
be payed winnings that are owed them.
Former WST liason, Chris May, stresses
that he too is out over two thousand
dollars in lost wages and in the same boat
as the rest of the victims. Chris vows to
keep after the head crook, Derek Park-
inson, and at last call injunctions and
lawyers were being put into place. Chris,
on the other hand, has signed on with
another traveling road show that's sending
a slew of America's top pros to Australia
during November and December. Billed as
OZ Assault: Skateboard, BMX and
Rollerskate Spectacular by promoter
Michael Edgley International ("One of, if
not, the biggest promotions company in
Australia"), the tentative sign-up sheet
includes Gator, Way, Kendall, Boyle,
Hosol, Ventura. Templeton and Vallely.
Details are somewhat sketchy as we ink
up, but you can bet a few of our boys will
ask for them in writing along with C.O.D.
wages. The Oz Assault rules also forbid
skaters from participating in the Melbourne
Ramp Riot that's scheduled for the day
before the kickoff demo.
Cedar Crest is open to the public with a CORRECTIONS
new five buck fee, and there's a new mini-
ramp next to the big perfect vert baby.
Mark Hooper says "Come one, come all."
Just one mess to clear up from last
issue: The photo on page 76 was taken by
our very own Mark Madeo.
