We must be
out of our
brilliant
minds to celebrate the notion for
a minute that we could leave the security of a
corporate mecca and venture blindly into the
enormous world of big business on our own.
We are utopians, no doubt, to
imagine we could build a company on the
premise that skateboarding is for the
people who skate, not for wheeling dealing
fatsos with no interest in skating's longevity.
When will we wake up and realize that
mere children could never even
hope to run their own team, design their own
ads, and even behave professionally at trade
shows? To build a skateboard company from the
bottom up, piece by piece, we must be
dreaming. Don't let us insult your
intelligence, we know you know better...
