His skate origins
My grandpa gave my brother a skateboard for Christmas
when I was about eleven. I took it from him and I haven't
stopped skating since.
Daily routine, typical set-up.
I skate every day if at all possible-mostly streets and
some mini-ramp. I actually like night skating best because
you don't sweat as much and there aren't many people
around. I like to skate till about two or three in the
morning. I don't do anything
fancy with my set-up, just keep
my trucks loose.
Skate idols, favorite
terrain, style,
session, spot, etc.
I don't have any idols, I just
like to watch people skate.
Vallely is really exciting to
watch. I like skating long
benches, big parking blocks
and any other obstacles that
appear in the streets. My
ideal session is cruising
around the streets with no
more than five guys, hitting a
variety of spots and stoking
each other out. I love skating
H.B. High School at night-it
still have a few years left at the top, but who knows, the
future king of skateboarding could be a totally new guy
that nobody knows about right now.
Motivation to skate.
I skate because it's fun. Speed is fun, cruising is fun. I don't
even think of the reasons, I just do it. I think I was born to
skate. There isn't anything I hate about skating. I don't put
myself in bad situations. When you skate at night, there's
not much to hate.

Latest, hardest tricks.
I've been working on a lot of my own stuff lately, trying to
create new tricks. Stuff like ollie varial lipslide to revert
and allie impossible lipslides. Technical tricks are the
hardest, but any trick is rod if the person doing it takes it
to the limit.
The hottest young skaters.
Omar is definitely one of the best. Hawk and those guys
Other activities
besides skating.
I like to hang around with my
girlfriend Deanna, watch TV,
listen to music (Jane's
Addiction, the Chili Peppers,
70s funk, Bow Wow Wow and
a lot of other things) and eat
Cocoa Pebbles. I like to read a
lot-books by Twain, Poe,
Steinbeck and Vonnegut.
If he couldn't skate.
I'd be a hermit and a miser
and sit around reading books
all day.
The future.
Personally, I don't know what
I'm going to do. I'll probably
finish school and maybe go to art school later.
Skateboarding in the future will probably fall apart and
there won't be a scene. The industry is going in a bad
direction. No matter what, I'll skate. I don't care about
getting free stuff. In future Americo, everyone's going to
have serial numbers tattooed on their hands. There won't
be any money, they'll just read the number on your hand
and bill it to your house. There will probably be a world
dictator.
Message for the skaters.
No. Trust nobody. Send my mom a T-shirt.
