CREATIVE JOLTS
We received this latter concerning starting
a skateboard club at school. Sounds like a
good idea-read on.
Why not think about starting your own skate-
board club at school? Here at UVM we did just
that, and on the whole, it has been a success.
Our dub was started in 1988 and is still going
strong thanks to the help of local skaters and the
local skate shop, the B-Side. As more and more
skaters enter college, why not have an organ
ization that will help you enjoy school more in
other words, get school funds to build a ramp.
We did. All takes is a little work and a love of
skating. I hope to hear your ideas and progress.

CORRECTIONS
Last month's column contained a few facts
that need to be straightened out:
The recently torched vert ramp at Tower
Skatepark in Phoenix was fixed in time to
settle all the burning questions. Out of the
ashes came the hottest qualifiers in the
Southwest District. See results above.
Latest word says that the Eastern
Skateboard Association is extinct.
The photo we featured last month was of
the Green River Skatepark in Camp-
bellsville, Kentucky.
⚫In the August '90 Issue, the photo of the
burly Hackett frontside pool slasher tattoo
was mislabeled: it belongs to Matt Splatt
who was never a roadie for Agent Orange.
Sorry, Matt. We still dig your tat.
