MUCH NEWS Beloved righteous ragers, the Red Hot Chili
Peppers, have just returned from a EuroAmerican rockabout and
are beginning pre-production on their next Lp (which is purported
to include a guest appearance by MC Lyte, among others). Flea,
Anthony and Chad were recently spotted at the Nude Bowl, at
tacking the 'crete on prototypes of the new Skull Skates RHCP
models. Rumors that the Chili dudes received intense hardcore
session coaching from none other than The Gonz are still uncon
firmed Keep your eye out for Kings of the Sun, a hard-rockin'
bunch of skaters from Australia whose first Lp should be out soon
SNFU may have broken up for good, but the majors involved
are still busy. Chi Pig has supposedly joined a new band in Van
couver, while guitar twins Mark and Brent Belke and bassist Kurt
have found a new drummer (Dave Reese) and formed a new band
called Ship of Fools. Their new sound is slightly slower and more
melodic, but still rocks hard Gangster poet Ice-T hangs on
the other side of the fence when he plays an undercover cop in
the upcoming film New Jack City (co-starring Judd Nelson). Said
fick should be out some time next year Mission guitar player,
Simon, has quit the band for personal reasons. Currently filling
in for the stressin' strummer (who quit after a Vancouver gig dur-
ing the middle of a tour) is Dave from Red Lorry Yellow Lorry
Thrasher frantic scratchmaster Pushead was last seen prowl-
ing through Indian artifact stores in Rapid City, South Dakota, shop-
ping for jewelry, knives and talismans with Joe Perry and Steve
Tyler of Aerosmith. Perhaps they were seeking inspiration for the

while, our metallic correspondent, Mike Gitter, is on the road with
Kise. Let's hope he returns in one piece LA. hardcore hip-
hopsters Low Profile have now had two videos banned by the
discerning esthetes at MTV Apparently the videos. "Pay Ya Dues"
and "That's Y They Do It," are a bit too graphic (read realistic))
in their portrayal of today's drug crisis. Sorry, W.C. and Alladin,
MTV will air as many self-glorifying, fog-laden, miscngynistic, semi-
nude-women-as-mindless-wank-slaves vids as they can shove
down the public's throat, but start dealing with real life problems
and you're bound to get shot down.
COLD CUTS Love and Rockets lead men David J and Daniel
Ash will both release solo albums soon, but don't worry L&R fans,
the band is still together Fields of the Nephilim's latest will
be out this tall Big Ocean Mob 415 is a dope new rap crew
from the Bay Area. Check out their first Lp on RCA The Dead
Milkmen's latest miease, Metaphysical Graffiti is fresh on the racks
so all you wacky punkeroos can rejoice The Damned's new
disc, Final Damnation, is a worthwhile historical document (it's a
live recording of their big reunion concert in 1968), but many of
the songs on the record don't quite measure up to their original
versions. Perhaps Live at the Lyceum 1981, Mindless Directionless
Energy, another live Lp to be released later this year, will pack more
of a whallop. And speaking of live albums, keep your eyes open
for the Sex Pistols Live at Chelmsford Prison. Does Sid live or what?

Public Enemy fame and entitled AmenKKKa's Most Wanted, this
