RUBEN DOMINQUEZ.
He may be only fifteen years old, but watch Ruben
execute a smooth air or a fast grind and you'll realize
that he's reaped maximum benefits from four years of
on-board experience. Inspired by the likes of Christian,
Sergie and Cab, Ruben will skate anything, any time,
then chill out with some reggae or Mary's Danish on
the box and any kind of food he can get his hands on.
Some day Ruben hopes to turn pro so he can get paid
to have fun and laugh at his buddy's nerdy jokes. No
matter what happens he'll always love all the women.
THB is what it's all about.

AL GIBSON
Be it pool or be it ramp, give this twenty-one-year-
old Louisiana boy some tall, tall vert and you know
he'll be grinnin'. Of course. Al will also be stoked to
rip downtown in any city. Names and locations don't
matter much, as long as he's pulling sick tricks that
are so on-edge they scare him and skating with people.
who are having a good time. After partaking in the
most challenging, athletic, mind-boggling, uncon-
trollable sport he's ever tried, Al likes to crank up the
punk, blues or reggae tunes and skarf some ragin'
Cajun grub (or anything else he can get enough of).
Al will be fulfilled in life if he can avoid getting hurt.
find a good woman and continue hanging with the
bros. Hey, we'll let the man speak for himself: "If you
see me, come talk to me, I'll be your friend. Take me
home and I'll skate your pools!"

TIM ROMERO
After sixteen years of intensity, Tim Romero has dis-
tilled the essence of skating down to two words: GO
FAST! As he lives by these words, names like Hosoi,
Simpson, Midgette, Bod, Schroeder, Alba, Jesse,
Robison, Adams, Peters and Losi orbit in Tim's head.
He turns the tunes up LOUD, gets some pizza,
tamales and In & Out burgers down his gullet, then
hops right back on his board to continue GOING FAST.
Why? Because skating is rad, and Tim plans to skate
forever. SMP! PHOTO: CHRIS ORTIZ
