can't play billiards worth a damn, yet I'm
known as a pool shark. I don't play nine boll
and I don't play by any rules. I don't bet
money or worry about scratching; I think about
grinding around the corner pocket with the speed.
of a locomotive instead. Don't ever confine your
game of pool to a green-covered wooden table
with six holes in it. Pool is a universal language.
As long as there are pools, you'll find pool sharks.
I sometimes like to think of myself as a great
white pool shark, the kind you can't keep in cap
tivity. I'm one of the last of a dying breed that
started in the Dark Ages and has dwindled due to
the sudden influx of termites. Some pool sharks
say that wood is for fires and I tend to agree.
Most pool sharks have a lot of balls and most
have a special wooden stick on which they per-
form their wonderous tricks.

do, and this is what separates the larger, more
cunning sharks, from the lower species. Great
white sharks for instance, cover more territory,
whether it be in cold or warm water, and are
highly unpredictable in r situations. They can
smell their prey miles away and won't stop until
the hunt is over. Some species, such as blue and
thresher sharks, give up easily because they don't
I have the skill and drive.
Keep an eye out for feeding frenzies because all
pool sharks have been known to be dangerous in
riotous activity. Oh, and be especially wary about
swimming in territorial waters; pool sharks can be
treacherous and very violent when it comes to
playing a high stakes game.
In the end, it doesn't matter who you are or
what you do, just as long as you play pool. Pool
sharks come in many different shapes and sizes,
and they usually won't hunt each other because
they share a common goal and experience- some
just are better at playing pool than others.
