There was also a doctor's parking lot,
across from the YMCA where the
NSA contest was held, that was
literally destroyed by the same close
friends. Todd Hasting's close friends
merrily left Redding, and the
amateurs stayed behind in their
hometown and were blasted, con-
demned and ridiculed by the local
newspaper and townspeople. It's a
known fact that skateboarders do not
have a great reputation, and this cor-
tainly did add to the already losing
proposition skateboarders have in
Redding
Many Redding skateboarders
have been in our home and have
always been perfect gentlemen. It is
sad that Todd Hasting's close friends'
destructive behavior is being blamed
on local skaters. I think Redding, CA
deserves an apology.

I hate to admit it, but skating is so
damn trendy now it's sorry. Four
years ago you wouldn't see many
skaters at all, now it's the only thing
you see. It's the same old thing every
day. It's just a bunch of trendies
following everyone else (all the other
trendies). I don't skate much any
more because trendy sucks bad!

I just received your calendar for
Christmas. I was totally stoked! I've
never really been a good skater, but
I try. On the days that it says "Skate
Hard" I thought, what a joke at first.
After flipping through I was inspired
from a flame deep down inside to
push it hard every day, not just the
