In an effort to get truly hip and appeal to hard (headed) rockers
from all walks of life, we will now devote half of Notes every month
to Bon Jovi and Ozzy Ozbourne. Yeah, right. Steel Pole
Bathtub will release an Ep called Lurch soon on Boner Records,
They will also be putting out a split single with The Melvins. SPBT
will be covering a Sonic Youth song, "I Dreamed, I Dreamed."
Melvins will be covering "Touch Me I'm Sick." Steel Pole will
possibly do Europe, definitely the US, after Lurch Crucial
Youth has just returned from a full Euro lour. Their anti-drink/S.E
stance was strengthened when "gentleman Jim Norton was
almost run over by a drunk driver in London: His good karma
must have saved him. When asked about the European language
barrier they claimed their message is so positive it transcends
all barriers. They also vow to continue their campaign against
decadence. The Flaming Lips have a new drummer named.

say) out in January. The album will be simply titled Flaming Lips

a party where they whipped over 300 guests into a frenzied sing-

by this irrational outburst they called the cops. The cops arrived,
surveyed the scene and quietly stepped back into their squad

is recuperating from two broken ribs and a bruised kidney as
a result of a burly bike/Mercedes traffic tango. Rumor says he'll

healing, though, his band is reeling. H-Gun Videos, aka the Ungh!

deems too violent to air. H-Gun directors Eric Z. and Ben Stokes

will be too vollent for MTV as well. JFA plans on going global

for this one Frankle and the Dog Nuts are currently making a run for the border
after setting fire to the dressing room af S.F's DNA Club in a bizarre and somewhat
kinky hairspray incident. For all you who missed the Velvet Underground reunion
in SF late December, you're bummed. Of course, Nico was sorely missed during
such memorable tunes as "All Tomorrow's Parties," "Femme Fatale" and a great
cover of the Doors "The End, a surprise appearance by JK, jamming with John
