JEFF RONNOW
In 1976, five-year-old Jeff Ronnow learned to
skate at Odyssey Skatepark in Mission Viejo. Thir-
teen years and a million layback grinds later, he's still
rolling, smooth and stylish, through the streets and steeps
of Newport Beach. Cook up some bacon and eggs, turn on
the Led Zep or good reggae, invite Steve Caballero and
Steve Claar over to skate, and you can bet Jeff will say,
"That's mellow." You can also fire him up by men-
tioning getting tubed, freeboarding, snowboarding
and Amy. A truly mellow guy, Jeff's goals are
to have fun and explore life.

RUDY JOHNSON
This fifteen-year-old Walnut, California,
local is a non-stop terror to all Southern Califor-
nia surfaces, but we stopped him long enough to extract
a little bit of information. Apparently he's been admiring
Chris Miller, T.G. and Lance Mountain, ollie flipping
everywhere, ripping mini-ramps, wolfing pasta and listen-
ing to every kind of music for the past three years. He
wants to turn pro some day and-hey, come back
Rudy! Well, he just cut out to go skate more,
so that's all you get to know.

AARON DEVINE
Fueled by chili dogs, Dr. Pepper and Polar
Swirls from Arby's, Aaron is always ready to attack
any ramp in the Huntington Beach area. He'll turn
up the Blast, Black Flag, Point Blank or Danzig and punk
out on fast grinds, loud lip tricks, long stand-ups and Smiths.
That sounds like a damn good time (he's been doing it for
4½ years), but Aaron will be even more stoked if Ricky,
Ross, Grosso and a bunch of girls show up. Some day
Aaron hopes to go to college, maybe turn pro (if he
feels ready), and definitely to be as punk
as Grosso. "You pretty much suck."
