As they walked out
of the driveway, they
ran into Wilma, a mid-
wife during the day
and a crazy old
Korean woman all of
the time:
"I heard you two
last night. You were
outside my door,
weren't you? You
thought I was asleep."
She scolded them in her most annoying voice. "You two are evil,
evil men. You were trying to shock me through the floor, weren't you?
I know you spy on me. You can't shock me through the floor. Not
me. No. I'm smart to your ways."
Harry and Jo-Jo looked at Wilma, at each other, then looked at
Wilma again.
"You want anything from the store? We're gonna get a six-pack.
We need it to go swimming," Jo-Jo said.
"You two won't be swimming today. There's no swimming today."
"Something wrong with the pool?" Harry asked with disappoint-
ment. "What's wrong with the pool?" The pool was the most
important thing in the world to Harry, next to good sippin' whiskey,
bottle openers, toilet paper and the Newhart show.
"No swim. Big party"
"Whose party?"
"What party?"
"Their party," Wilma said, pointing at four people walking from
their cars, around the corner of the hotel to the back where the gigan-
tic pool area was. Harry and Jo-Jo instinctively (Continued on page 108)
