Tom Groholski has been skating for a long time. With
his understated style and personality he remains one of
the most respected skaters in the country.
He doesn't have a big mouth, but he is indeed heard.
Tom is not into silly antics or the stuff of style-conscious
gossip columnist appeal. He just skates all the time-no
bullshit-and that is really all he wants to do.
Early on, in '81 and '82, during the sport's crucial hiber-
nation period, Tom's unfaltering dedication separated him
from his contemporaries.
In the last six or seven years Tom has traveled all over
the world like most other top pros. But being a pro from
outside of California has surely given him an interesting
view of things. Tom's sincerity and creativity have carried
him through good times and bad, and you can be damn
sure he'll be skating for as long as he lives. ►
