Skatepark? Adjacent to a prime golf facility.
Crown is run by ten-year-old skate wiz Andy
Davis. Andy and his four-year-old brother
Robble reportedly decided to go into biz
following anti-skate tactics of local police.
Is Puttis Jacobsen now running his own
skate camp in Sweden? Will Hans Lindgren
teach freestyle?
And presumably from the genius of the
ever-promotional Metiver, consider this
paranoia poster? Has Dickvak finally flipped
in his plaintive race to be king? Are there real-
ly spies wearing snorkels in the Team Santa
Cruz toilet? Is Denike humoring these
demented manus or has he entered the skate
cold war too? Is all of this apprehension
somehow related to the purported SMA
bootleg product scenario alluded to in the
Team Slime flow note?
Once again the ever-vigilant guardians of
our welfare have uncovered ugly evidence
of SATANISM. Local skaters such as Lamar
and C.J. of Corning, NY, are raging despite
warnings from police chief Randy Dye
regarding the red-horned menace. The local
newsrag reported that pentagrams and other
unfortunate devil worshipping symbols ap-
pear on skateboards. See y'all in heaven.
Is rising young talent Omar Hossan think
ing of abandoning skating in order to attend
college several years early?
English ramps are rising. Howard
Keasey's in Crowthorne, Berkshire, has at-
tracted some notice. Over at the Surrey
Ramp and South Bank, Lalo Creme, Adam
Childs and John Seymour have been incit-
ing rolling riots.
And speaking of the British, could it
possibly be true that "the world's greatest
zine ever" Skate Muties from the 5th Dimen-
sion is hanging up the paste and scissors?
Have Bear Hackenbush Mutie and his boys
forsaken the skate world for more credible

pleasures (i.e. gallons of grog), or is it only
ploy to raise the price of their back issues
and move up (or down, as the case may be)
the publishing evolutionary scale?
Are the skater parents in anti-skatetown
Plattsburgh, NY (home of poet Elliot
Richman and the skateboarding ghosts)
banding together to provide skate facilities
for their ripping offspring?
TRAVEL LOGS
In addition to Natas' Lincoln Continental
tour with Jim Thiebaud, Micke Reyes and
Julian Stranger, look for the following
itinerant demo dogs this summer: Steve
Rocco and Co., hobo-style (on trains, that
is); the Bones Brigade in Europe; El Gato,
family style in a motorhome with wife
(Dawna), kids (Malachi and Christopher),
Danny Way and other assorted H-Street
stylers. Also in the works is a skater tour of
the Soviet Union. Tom Terrell, Adam Krohn,
Hank Scotch, Rami Aburamia, Chris
Weeks, Kelley Gorman and John Wolley (all
from Palo Alto, CA) have been invited by
Soviet skaters for a one-week expenses-paid
tour (minus airfare). As of last report, they
were savagely packing their bags with loads
of assorted skate paraphernalia for what may
be the first Glasnost product toss.
