Page Mill, Chris Robison's and Cambodia. Rocco's Hell Tour
chronicles life on the road. Spuds Mackenzie rides a board on
TV. A posse of pros demos Dayton while a skate rock party en-
sues in Austin, TX. Upland Pipeline celebrates ten glorious years.
NSA goes to Stone Mountain, GA. Gator is nabbed for an over-
due interview. Snowboarding goes worldly at Breckenridge.
Streetplants are dying on the vine. The Big Apple sound is loud
and hard. Sluggo and Bod are on the run in the USA. KT follows
the pro tour to Oz. East Coasters boast a heavy metal ramp scene.
Megadeath moshes. Pros hit Toronto. El Gato is back. Mo goes
Mission Europa. Great Britain bites back. Hell ramp teeters. NSA
goes back to St. Looey. We go back to Willamette, dammit. Am
Bams include Marlowe, Mank, Tocco, Byrd, Spalero, Castro,
Fabriquer, Froland, Istavanick, Boettcher and others. Raging.
Waters raises a huge ramp. Skatepark Del Mar is flattened. We
go slammin' in Savannah. Slalom returns then disappears.
1988
We look at the over 30 and still rolling set. Raging Waters holds
an air show featuring Caballero at 10 feet over, while the NSA
finds an empty velodrome for free and street. Duane Peters
re-enters the limelight. Lip tricks are being exploited to the fullest.
Hotshoes on the East Coast: Mike Conroy, Rob Mertz, Mike
Crescini, Dan Brown, Sergie Ventura, Dave Lemieux and Clint
Deaton. Dee Dee Ramone is still wearing high-tops. Eastern Eden
includes the Farm ramp, Cedar Crest, Cambridge pool and
Ocean Bowl ramp. Freddy Kreuger terrorizes the mag. A chlorine
dust storm swirls around the NSA event at Big Surf in Tempe,
AZ. Tommy Guerrero talks. Skate bands abound-Odd Man Out,
Ungh!, Ghoul Squad, Hell's Kitchen, Token Entry and McRad
to name a few. Salba and cohorts hightail it to English shores.
Joey McSqueeb makes his debut. We talk balls and tell you to
go find your own spot. Bill Tocco is am
champion. Other rippers: Dave Nielson,
John Fudala, Troy Chasen, Gene Hare and
Brian Pennington. Skaters are scuffing walls
all over the country. Surf N' Turf reopens to
rave reviews. Natas is revealed in words and
more pictures. Mt. Baker snowboard event
is chillin'. Stiff Little Fingers is back. Pro
mini-ramp event is held at Kevin Harris
indoor arena in Vancouver. Skatetown Sacto
is revisited. Savannah gets slammed again.
Tony can't win the big one as Christian takes
down 5,000 clams at the NSA finals in Irvine.
Eric Dressen doubles up with Robert
Williams for a big interview issue. Curbs are
cool again. Bert Lamar is back on board.
Stupids are dumb. Aliens invade Toronto.
Dedders escapes from Alcatraz. Phoenix is
follied. Potatohead says, "plan your skate
day" Zodiac warps minds. Kentucky gets
fried. Albuquerque is checked and the ter-

is a monster for MoFo. Sacto mini-ramp is a burner. Berlin and
