also recently rip out the 13-year-old snake
runs at said park?
Was Sonja Catalano fired by the new
board of the NSA, then re-instated the very
next day to run the '89 amateur program?
Was G&S scion Larry Gordon seen doing
multiple 360° spins in his car down an icy
road after a recent snowboard test sesh?
Is ace am pilot Frankie Hill doing 35-foot
long railslides?
Were big wave riders Greg Noll and Jim-
my Fitzpatrick recently caught discussing
deep sea fishing plans?
Has Woody Woods been teaching Tom
Hanks how to surf at Paddleboard Cove for
the last five months?
Did John Fudala stage a streetstyle con
test in March to help pay for his car engine?
Were Thrasher prime movers Enrico
Chandoha, Kurt Carlson and MCM, spot
ted at the International Antiquarian Book Fair

Since outdoor skate harassment is getting
so heavy, have many skaters taken a hint
from marijuana growers and started doing
it indoors? Are warehouse ramp scenes bud
ding daily all over the states? Is Tim Payne

roaming the land, sowing ramps wherever
124
he goes? After building 4 ramps in 5 days
on the CA coast, did Team Pain have to rush
back to FL for a short stay at the Florida
Police bed and Breakfast inn?
WITH THE BANNED
Our condolences to Roy Georgia Jr. and
his father Roy Sr. of Del City, Oklahoma.
After three years, their back yard half-pipe
was shut down thanks to the legal actions
of a hysterical neighbor who had become a
"prisoner in her own home." Roy's father was
fined $15,000.00 and given a 770-day jail
sentence from 76 counts of building a struc
ture without a permit and one count of
creating a public nuisance.
Locals in Warren, Ohio, reached a compro-
mise with city council members who plann-
ed to completely outlaw skating in their burg.
Because of their unified lobbying and a
heroic skater who thwarted a robbery on
Christmas Day, the "lucky" Warren wheelers
are allowed to skate downtown sidewalks bet-
ween 6:30 and 10:00 p.m. The kind-hearted
politicians even promised the skaters they'd
try to get funds for a city park.
QUOTES
