waves into images on a screen. It's a portable panacea for
the flaccid minds of a thoughtless nation. After all, why think about
your own mundane existence when you can enter any number of action-
packed worlds on command? You don't like the way things are going?
Change the channel. This simple act counters the feelings of powerlessness.
that afflict so many of the cogs in this heartless machine we call society. Get
a satellite dish and you further increase your control over "life." Yet there are
those who will not let TV replace their soul. Even if they do feel pushed, prodd-
ed and trod upon by the world, these mavericks refuse to retreat from reality.
Instead, they release frustration and foster creation on planks with wheels.
