The NSA machine sputtered back to the
West Coast for the first time since the '87
finals in Irvine, CA. This time the North-
west got a shot in the arm. Seattle,
Washington, withstood the onslaught of
skateboarding's most colorful characters
and weathered, with temperatures in the
80s, the storm quite well. The event, dub-
bed the "Gotcha Grind" played to a packed
house at the Seattle Center Arena, home of
the World's Fair in 1962.
