Something Else
Although the transition was quicker than a bathtub,
our hero couldn't resist the gaping deep-end bowl that
lay before him. He dropped in, carved around the light
and quickly found a figure-eight line back through the
shallows. Back and forth he pumped until, "Hey, drop
your board and put your hands on the wall!"
"Off you coppers," he thought. "You'll have to catch
me first."
And so it went. As long as he carved forevers in the
virgin pool, and the longer the cops stood there scratch-
ing their heads, the situation remained in stalemate.
