News from the famed Agnew family: ex-Adolescent Rick Agnew forms
a new outfit with brother Alfie on vocals. Entitled Tribe, the band has
already been compared to a sped-up Cult Original Dag Nasty vocalist
Sean Brown has begun to front another outfit by the name of Swizz
Focusing on a hard-edged approach reminiscent of early Dag Nasty
Swizz promises a single on Hellfire. Expect an album from Colin Sears
and Roger Mahbury under the name Blood Bats. The ex-Dag Nasty
drummer and bassist have been working together in the studio for quite
some time since their departure from the Dag. An upcoming single from
Dag Nasty will feature a cover of the Ruts" "Staring at the Rude Boys."
After the spread of many rumors, Venice's pride and joy, Suicidal
Tendencies, have finally signed with a major label. Epic Records will
be handling the band's next effort, which they will begin recording
One bitchin bash of late was the Jimmy Z art opening, followed
by a tres intime party at Helena's, which featured shitty music, but great
pitchers of potent margaritas. Steve Olson (who still claims the Joneses

are back in action with a new Lp on Triple X Records, entitled, "HARD
CORN," and touring again. They blazed through the South West on a
mini-tour recently, which involved a lot of. cross-dressing." Bassist
Richard Hayes was last seen at the Green Door in Montclair near L.A..
claiming, "You gotta be a REAL MAN to wear a dress." The Hickolds
played that show with Texorcist. Texacala Jones' new band. Apparently,
the staff of the Green Door was burning, thinking they'd booked a
country/western band. no such luck, Also cross-dressing and livin' it
up that night were members of Social Distortion, ex-Horsehead Mike
Martt, and members of the Modifiers Stevo, (ex-Vandals) has been
playing movie star lately.working (if you could call it that) on a new surf
movie, WIPEOUT for the past few months. The Dickies have been
working on a movie with George Burns, filmed at Club Lingerie and
featuring their old hit "You Drive Me Ape, You Big Gorilla." Meantime,
they've signed to Enigma Records and are recording in North Hollywood.
Included on their upcoming new album is "Eep Op Ork Ah Ah Means
I Love You a cover of the Jet Screamer number. (No, it ain't a glam
combo-he was the inter-galactic rockstar on the Jetsons cartoon.)
Sounds absolutely space-age The members of T.S.O.L. have just left

in two years. Look for an extensive North American tour to reach your
town any day now Scope out a brand spankin' new label on the East
Coast called Giant Records, which is rapidly becoming a musical force
to be reckoned with. In just a few months Steev Riccardo and staff have
assembled a pretty impressive roster: 7 Seconds, Dag Nasty,
Government Issue, Verbal Assault and Indestructible Noise
Command Megadeth has just completed the mixing process on their
new Lp-the album should be out on Capitol any day now.
