"Another fine piece of vert was the Love
Bowl. It was a movie set where they used to
film them there talking pictures. It had two
half-bowls set about 50 yards apart from each
other. Both were about 30 feet tall, with 20
feet of vert, and rested on huge turntables
that allowed you to swivel 'em according to
wind direction and available light. I used to
pull lien air to tail from one to the other.
"Nope, they don't make 'em like they used
to. They don't skate 'em like they used to,
neither. Today, to have balls means to ride
a particular brand of wheels. Course, there
are some good ole spots still around. Some
of them are too dang big to ever get rid of.
