Caliper braking?!!
Back in the days when no one was really sure (or
cared) what the right board or trick was supposed
to be, when the premise was simply speed, there
was a category in skateboarding called downhill.
One venue was the quarter mile death drop at
Signal Hill In Long Beach, CA. The typical speed
vehicles looked a lot like this and were capable of
speeds past the limit.
...and then sometimes it's fun to roll down the
road as fast as possible and see how close to the
pavement you can get your face. Berkeley
