I never thought I'd bring myself to
says album was entirely beautiful,
but here goes: This is a retrospect
of the composer Kurt Well as inter-
preted by many contemporary artists
from virtually every musical
field be it jazz, pop, used-to-be
kinda-new-wave, contemporary folk
or whatever (ie, Marianne Falthfull,
w/Chris Spedding, Richard Butler,
Sting, Todd Rundgren, Tom Waits,
Lou Reed, Carla Bley, Phill Woods
and several others). Many of the
numbers were penned by Weil and
Bertolt Brecht, and are performed in
a fashion that brings to mind images
of post-World War I Europe. Say no
more than Mac the Knife, Ballad
of a Soldier's Wife," "Alabama Song.
and "Surabaya Johnny" This thing
has a lot of flavor and 'das ist gut!

OK, so this album is produced
by Soupy Sales squirt, Hunt Sales,
who used to drum with Bowle and
Iggy, and it has two songs, "Get the
Borte," and "Chill Out, the first of
which has none other than Rick Der
ringer himself playing a guest spot.
Now, what I want to know is, how
come on the cover it says its re-
corded in Mofo starea? Is this some
kind of a joke? Besides, the music.
confuses me. Lots of technical
studio wizardry.
