The summer of 82 comes to a close
with Tony Hawk winning pool and Rod-
Iney no. 1 in freestyle. Billy Rut takes
the overall. Freestyle is raging while
"Stop skate harassment" is the cry the Swedish Summer camp is declared
heard across the land.

World Series opener in Upland, the in-
augural event for Frank Hawk's National
Skateboard Association,
Newtron, Gibson and Johnson embark
on an East Coast swing from Florida to
NYC and back again. THRASHER tags

The NSA Summer Series wraps up with
contests at Oceanside (freestyle) and
Del Mar, Tony is no. 1, Rodney retires.
Eurocana again hosts the annual Swed-
ish summer camp. Bily Ruff, Neil
Blender, Rodnay Mullen and Martin
Sweaney act as trainers in residence.
