This maneuver may be known to some
of you skaters as a lapover grind, a snap
grind, grind to rail or whatever you prefer
to call it. Observe the following directions
and photos provided and you should be
able to accomplish this to the best of your
ability.
1. Approach the wall with a moderato
amount of speed.
2. As you reach the coping, let your weight
and momentum continue to carry you up
and over the lip into a basic stand-up
frontside grind.
3. Turn your body slightly, so that your rear
truck fully overlaps and locks over the
coping. At the same time, guide the nose.

front foot
4. Putting your weight on your rear foot
while resting on the inside rail of your
board, stall momentarily, staying slightly
compressed
5. As you drop back in, shift your weight
towards your front foot. (This will keep
your rear truck from locking up.) Remain
slightly compressed as you descend the
transition.
"After you wire this trick, try to stall longer
on the lip. Be careful and, of course, woar
safety equipment at all times.
