hours life would find him experiencing some unusual culture.
RUNNING BEFORE THE DREAMS END

of tranquil beach-head and there isn't a soul in
sight. He'd simply jumped the early morning

200 INHALES AND 200 EXHALES
INTO THE FUTURE
The Swedish Summar Skate Camp is mwake
and busting with activity. Mr. Sun is aiming hard
at the earth, predicting today to be an exception-
ally busy, sun-soaked calendar date. Many
skaters guide themselves to the now crowding
beach, stretching out and re-energizing with
solar rays. Those unique individuals, spread out
amongst seemingly normal Swedish citizens
(oblivious to the skaters' largely misunderstood
choice of intense physical activity), discuss
various procedures and variations of executions
of said varied proceedures. In the marty
discussions about radical vertical bricks, the
topic inevitably turns to Tony Hawk's new 720
air-defying feat, ingnoring the fact that there are
topless, beautiful women sunbathers lingering
all around them.
Tony Hawk, the guy who wears a tiny, stuffed
Pink Panther attached to his waist everywhere
ho goes has surpassed skater reality into the
phase of skate unreality with the incredible mind
defeating trick-above-the-trick that was sup-
posedly the trick to top all previous tricks. The
720 air one-ups the McTwist by another
half-turn. Tony (smartly) maintains a conserva
tive lid on the trick, so as not to showcase it loo
much and give away the newly travelled line.
NIGHT STOCKHOLM STREET ASSAULT-
ONE A.M.
The Swedish policeman isn't at all amused at
the tactics of a certain twelve skaters raging a
switch-back run in a walkthrough mall that leads
to an escalator ride back to the beginning of the
run for a continuous cycle. The Swedes say this
is where skateboarding was born in Sweden.
But tonight it dies a little as the copper
threatens in uncertain Swedish undertones that
it should stop or else.
This is hardly a deterrent as the shredsters
moved on to more impossible terrain, where,
actually, the only one able to ride is Lance. Ho
performs the unbelievable by fully assaulting
some 60+ traneltions, repeatedly and success
fully
MOUNTAIN IN THE LAKE
Swedish pro freestyler, Per Wolinder, joins
Leroy in a chat. Per informs that he is there to

makes himself scarce, trying to avoid these mild
terrorist tendencies. In the excitement, the
bundle containing Tony's quiver for the entire
European trip is momentarily left unattended
ahongst some construction equipment. Seeing
this, an annonymous looking worker fires up a
