catchy jingles, rhythms and beats is

ond album. The addition of their new
gultarist has given their sound a lot
more power and depth, making them
a real force to be reckoned
with...Speaking of forces to be re-
ckoned with, Electric Love Muffin
ripped the stage with a blazing set
when they played on the same bill
with local band The Johnsons
and Husker Du. The Johnsons
were extremely tight with a rock,
twangy sound and Husker Du were
their usual rockin' selves. Ruin are
said to be back in the studio with the
possibility of a new release in the
works. Homo Picnic are recording
songs for a Speed of Sound compl
lation planned for late summer. Rich
Poor, ex-Homo Picnic is now put-
ting out a fanzine called Alcoholic
Tendencies. Everything you never
wanted to know about Philly, and

now booking live bands and are
looking for videos of bands to play
(the emphasis at the club is on video
