RAT BONES 10 x 30 RAT BONES WHEEL INDY 159 ST.
It's already in your favorite shop, it's the Rat Bones deck from
Powell. It shredded in all the spots we rode. It's the standard 10X30,
7 ply and has medium concave to keep your feet on board. One thing
that this board has is a fair amount of nose. This spells soulful nose
wheelie action and better grabs for a blast into the past. But of course
most folks will be bashing curbs, banks, ramps, pools, and the street.
Go ahead with this Rat Bones board. It begs for it. The trucks;
Independent 159's and the wheel setup: the new street formula
(90-A) Rat Bones. They've adapted their center set design to take on
street surfaces without worry of slide outs and unnecessary wheel
chatter. The Indy trucks turned well and ground longer with Z
Trucksliders attached. The other thing that also made this combina-
tion cool was the Powell Gorilla Rib Rails and tail skid. They're wide
and slippery and available in wads of different colors. So there you
have it, the decision is in your hands. See these items at your local

SANTA MONICA AIRLINES
Santa Monica Airlines have come out with a new and different
board. O.K. Length; 30 1/4" and the width is 10 3/8 in. up front,
decreasing to a 9 in. winger tail. For the suprise tum this guy over and
behold! Semi circular cuts that canyon into the deck S.M.A. calls,
"Aggression Ridges." Place your front foot on the board and you'll
notice just how well it stays put. If you're into ollie manuevers
these "aggro ridges" make for grippy re-entries and
enhanced board feel.

We tried it out and it does facilitate landing those, make-it-or-de
moves S.M.A. are always striving for new changes rather than being
satisfied with stagnant designs. Alot of research goes into finding the
optimum shapes. Moving on to the finish, it's great, painted blue and

The board is a bit heavy but it probably won't break very easily either
