Team Madrid captian Beau Brown has a new deck
out to blaze new lines. It features the M-Tech con-
cave (4° linear concave, 2° concave tail) and is one
of the lighter boards of this size. The tail is plenty
steep and the Beau Brown model works well for
street or vert. Graphics feature rad looking pile-
skulls. Available in metallic blue, or flame orange.

ramps or pools that is small, quick and also light in
weight. Its 62mm tall with a riding surface of 48mm.
Krypto Lites are a double radius shape that allows
you to dial quicker and tighter lines without having to
sacrifice speed. It's a very resilient wheel formula
and works well on hard surfaces; wood or concrete.

New from Brad Bowman comes the streetwise in
Day Glo orange. If has a semi blunt nose in front,
and a 3" V-shaped concave to keep your feet edged.

VARIFLEX RAGE WHEELS 63mm
Variflex introduces its newest Rage Wheel. It's
63mm with a new shape for better control and a fas-
ter riding surface. The bearing placement has also
been changed to cut down uneven wear. The Rage
Wheel comes in two different hardnesses: 91 A
durometer for ramps and street and 94 A durometer
for pools and ramps. With 73% resiliency these
wheels grip and give a smooth ride. Pitch these guys
sideways and listen to the enjoyable howl of the con-
trolled drift that the Rage offers. Available in Black

carried him away, you could see the side of his head was flexible. Very
few of the slams wear safety equipment. The Chasm has a religious
significance to them, and they master it or not, openly offering their
flesh and relying on nothing but skill.
Slam A2's no-handed airs were too much, he looked upside down
landing them; a one footed no hands re-entry from a 3 foot frontside
drew screams from the crowd. His other foot didn't touch his tape till
he was starting up the other wall. I shook my head and drained a dark
beer in toast.
The insanity came to a close at twilight. The crowds are gone now.
One dead, 2 critically injured. Not bad for the degree of intense energy

fun, not for life and death, the Chasm drinks not my blood except
perhaps in small amounts. I layback rollout as Gordie carves under
me, his head bounces off my front wheels and he pulls a frontside 2
feet out as I drop back in. "Ah hah hah" Gordie cackles, and Maria.
waits. She'll skate when one of us tires. Someone has to keep watch,
of course, dark shadows flit through the sky, and already she stands
amidst a small littering of brass casings, toking up as she leans against
the low hood of the land shark.
The breeze lashes my hair as my knees absorb the impact of the
landing, I pump harder, flashing through the Chasm. My blood sings.
I smile.
