M-TECH CONCAVE
Quick! What's pink, concave and
goes like hell? I don't know either,
but the new Mike Smith M-Tech
from Madrid is pretty close. If you're
the type who has to have the flash-
lest everything, the M-Tech is your
baby. Enough on the colors, the
board does work good. It has a 15
steep tail. The concave runs through
the length of the board turning flatter
above the front truck. Although its
size (10.75 x 30.5") would suggest
a vertical only type board, it also
shreds on the virgin white concrete
curbs and any other street terrain
you can dish out. The Mike Smith
model was set up with Madrid Fly
wheels that really blaze. Fly wheels
are available in a street formula 94A
yellow or harder 96A orange that
deliver on fast, smooth surfaces.
The orange wheels are real fun for
long-loud-obnoxious four-wheel drifts
near visiting tourists. Go down to

VISION "GATOR" MODEL
The Mark "Gator Rogowski model
makes its entry into the Vision board
lineup for '84. It features a cut-away
design with a medium steep tail and
good positioning for your back foot.
The frontal area of the board has
plenty of room to stick your foot for
positive grinds and an accurate
board feel. The Gator model meas-
ures 29.5" x 10.5" and has some real
hypnotic flashy graphics that are
done up in turquoise and black (on
the model we received). One of the
nicer boards from Vision Industries.

per. It's made from injection-molded
high-density polyethelene for good
truck protection and slide-ability. For
you street shredders, your tail will
last longer when you try a Tail-
feather skidplate. It too is made of
engineering grade nylon and lasts
for a long time. It is attached with
nylock bolts (supplied) and has hex-
agonal holes molded in the Tailfeath-
er so installation is a breeze with just
a screwdriver. If you get tired of your
splintered-delaminated nose due to
harsh impact, then a Noselip might
help. It's a soft nose guard device
with a lip on the bottom to help keep
a proper grab on the nose of the
board. It also comes with killer T bolt
mounting hardware and instructions
for easy installation. All of the above
