SKATING WITH THE WIND
Some of you oldtimers may have seen
this before. It was Jamie Budge who first
introduced the windskate to the world back
in '76 or so. Actually, it was something that
never really caught on with most skaters.
Recently though, windskaters have been
seen cruising the beach parking lots of
Southern California again. Today's wind
surfing technology makes it easy to adapt
a sail to your stick. Just think, wind surf for
a while, sail in to shore, transfer the sail
and mast to your waiting skateboard and
skate sail away.
