Glen had an exceptionally large head. The
children always teased him with names such
as Hey Big Head, Noggin Man, and Large
Numble.
Though Glen had a large head, the children
were all impressed with his speed.
Glen was a fantastic runner.
He could outrun everyone he knew.
But Glen had one serious problem. He'd run
so fast that his legs would outrun his upper
body, and consequently his head, being as
large as it was, would drag behind him. (Ouch!)
The kids then began to tease him with new
names such as Scarhead and Rittle Top. His
head is almost shredded.
Glen decided to buy a helmet that would
protect his head when it would drag. Unfortu
nately, his helmet slowed his speed. What was
he to do? His track team needed him for the
deciding meet!
The kids were all relying on Glen to win. So
they came up with an idea to try and help him.
The idea: a pole, with wheel connected and
attached to Glen's helmet so his head
wouldn't drag!
Glad gladly accepted and won the race.
Then his friends loved him.
